"HOT WIRE"
Joins the Rental Fleet!

This 17' Wooldridge
is now available to rent! You won't want to haul
yourself out of its shock-absorbing "truck seats," but
when you do you'll find plenty of room on the back deck
and swim step to play your fish. All proceeds from
this boat benefit a great cause - the Bob Olsen
Technical Scholarship Fund. Bob (the late father
of owner Linnaea Troina) taught science and electronics
here in Ketchikan for over 30 years. During those
years, he helped many students pursue careers in the
technical and vocational fields. Seniors at the
local high schools apply for scholarship money every
spring, and the Bob Olsen Scholarship Fund helps them
out as much as possible.
In other KCM news,
the silvers are in and fishing is going well despite the
less-than-seasonable weather (but what are we
complaining about - this is, after all, KETCHIKAN!).
The Marina is busy, busy, busy - with locals, cruise
ship passengers, and other visitors to Ketchikan.
If you haven't stopped out for a bite to eat at the Dock
Side Galley, you're missing out on a delicious time!
They're open 11am-7pm every day, with early morning
breakfast specials on Sunday. By now most people
know that the famous Sitka Pie Lady is running the
stand, and that she has pies (either by the piece or
whole) for sale in addition to her regular delicious
menu. If you want to call ahead and place an order
with them, their number is 225-4885.
We hope to see you
here soon!
